Istagram can be a great way to build your online presence for free as well as advertise your business.
To maximise your exposure on Instagram and increase your followers adding Hashtags is a great strategy.
What is a Hashtag? Basically it is a link or connection to posts with common topics. And all you do is put the # symbol in front of the topic with no spaces in the word or phrase. So all you do is type “#topic” or “differenttopic” or “#anotherdiffertnttopics” without the quotation marks and Instagram or any Social madie will automatically creat the link.
A few words of warning though
- don’t put random related or unrelated tags in the main description of your post unless they flow in the description . For example if you are showing a picture of a purple ball you could say in the description, “Check out this #purpleball see how bright it is.” Don’t put in “Check out this #purpleball see how bright it is. #purple #ball #coloured #balls #bright #kids #fun”
- You can add multiple tags into the comments of your post so not in the actual description but in the comments after it is posted. You cou add in “#purple #ball #coloured #balls #bright #kids #fun” and what ever related topics you can think of. Instagram will also offer suggestions.
