Consider what key words you want for each page on your website…
Check out this video from Google Adwords, it is talking about how to pick the best Keywords for an AdWords campaign which can also drive traffic but the tips it shares are also great for picking up keywords for your general keywords as well as for paid campaigns.
I wouldn’t be inclined to leave this totally to your developer, as no one knows your clients like you! accept your competitor.
Get to know your clients.
What keeps them up at night?
What worries them?
What do they want?
What makes them tick?
People always ask
I regularly get asked how can I have more people come to my website.
And the real question is how do I get more people to buy from my website because you do not just want a lot of traffic you want to find your customers/ clients.
This is going to take time to learn, and I don’t recommend just hiring someone to do it because that will cost a lot of money and there are some simple things you can do to improve your search engine optimisation and conversion rate.
Also do not expect to get something for nothing, the internet is not just some cosmic genie that will go, “oh you built a website I will give you customers”
I you are going to try to pay someone to fix it all for you, you will need multiple someone and it will cost you thousands… you will need a Marketing Genius, someone who can help you to really identify what you do and what your clients are looking for. You will also need your web developer to add it all into your website in a useful way again this is extremely time consuming and for someone good you could be looking at thousands as well to go over your entire site…
I can recommend to fantastic people to help that can help when you are on a tight budget.
